Businesses turn to courts for electricity connection
Binnenkort mogen netbeheerders bij een stroomaansluiting voorrang geven aan bouwprojecten op basis van hun maatschappelijke waarde. Alleen komt het telkens vaker voor dat partijen daar niet op willen wachten. Zij zullen juridische stappen nemen om voorrang af te dwingen bij de rechter.
Uit navraag door Nieuwsuur bij regionale netbeheerders blijkt dat het aantal rechtszaken over een grootverbruikersaansluiting in drie jaar grofweg is verdubbeld: van 9 zaken in 2021 naar 17 in het afgelopen jaar.

Soon, grid operators may prioritize construction projects for electricity connections based on their societal value. However, parties increasingly find themselves unwilling to wait and will pursue legal action to enforce priority through the courts.
According to inquiries by Nieuwsuur with regional grid operators, the number of lawsuits concerning high-consumption electricity connections has roughly doubled in three years: from 9 cases in 2021 to 17 in the past year.
